PRP-Therapy

The targeted use of the body’s own growth factors from blood platelets leads to tissue regeneration, pain relief, and improved joint mobility. PRP therapy is performed on an outpatient basis and takes approximately 30 minutes. Usually, 2–3 injections are administered. The effect is not immediate. Initial improvements are often noticed after a few weeks, but the full effect can take several months, as the therapy supports the natural healing process. Since the body’s own material is used, the risk of allergic reactions is very low. Possible side effects include temporary pain, swelling, or bruising at the injection site. Infections are rare.
